Corvettes for Sale: Rare Bowling Green Metallic 2000 Corvette Convertible with 6-Speed

You don’t see very many Dark Bowling Green C5 Corvettes, and there’s a reason for that.

First of all, it’s a two-year-only color that was available in 2000 and 2001. Second of all, it was the second rarest color in the first year with 886 units produced in that shade, and its popularity declined even further the next year, is by far the least popular color with only 443 built.

Now a Seattle, Washington dealer is offering what appears to be a very nice 2000 Corvette convertible in Dark Bowling Green on Craigslist for $22,980.

If you’re in the market for a manual transmission, this car fits the bill, too, with a six-speed stick – somewhat rare with just 13,320 leaving the Bowling Green factory with a manual (an $815 option) out of the 33,682 Corvettes built that year.

This one features a nice color combination, too, with the Light Oak soft top and Light Oak interior contrasting nicely with the dark green.

It’s also nicely equipped with head-up display, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power steering, power disc brakes, and CD stereo.

Furthermore, the car has just 47,000 miles on the odometer, not bad for a 23-year-old vehicle, and photos seem to indicate it has been well taken care of inside and out.

“This car is as nice as they come,” the dealer says, “and drives just as it looks.”

Would you like to have this car that proudly tells the world where it was built just by its color?

  1. What’s the deal with people not cleaning and detailing cars they have for sale these days? The wheels and tires on this car look pathetic. I remember when a car for sale looked as good as it possibly could.
