You’ll want to watch this video of a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible all the way to the end. Do that, and you’ll be rewarded as Chevy’s new noisemaker offers up the unique exhaust note as it crackles and pops.
If you saw our post yesterday of the Hypersonic Gray C8Z Convertible in Ocean City, it appears this is the same car. The Corvette was captured driving in the left lane and after our cameraman throws up a wave to the car, he is rewarded as the driver hits the accelerator, causing auditory enjoyment for all.
In addition to today’s video, a Facebook user named Zach Bradley shared additional photos of the same car as it was spied parked on a street. One of the good surprises for us is the CTF sticker on the car although no photo of the VIN appears. FYI, if you come across a Z06 on the street with a CTF sticker, take a pic of the VIN as we want to confirm they are building saleable units.
Back to the video, as you begin watching it, there is a bit of wind noise coming from the driver’s open window. But like I said, the magic happens at the end and you can clearly hear the LT6 as the Z06 accelerates ahead…

Sounds like a European sports car. Make them American again!
My 2019 Z06 was a “brass hat “car meaning it had special attention during building and possibly a few variances from a standard production car sometimes serving as a unannounced test. People always told me how different my car sounded at the drag races versus other identical Z06s. So one day when the car was up on a rack I took a close look at the exhaust system and found out that my mufflers were titanium instead of the standard stainless steel. I ordered the car new and it has never been modified by me plus this clearly was a “factory“ installation using all the original clips and welding processes. I contacted A friend at the Corvette plant and a couple weeks later he told me that he had found out that Chevrolet had built about 50 titanium exhaust ZO6s during the 2019 run and said it was a “durability“ experimental test. When I took my car in the first time to be serviced, The tech told me something odd popped up on his screen when he input my car. There was a specific question that asked him to indicate the condition of the exhaust system as far as any abnormal appearing wear. Perhaps this car is involved in a similar unannounced production run experiment.
Stolen I found that car and touched it with my hand first and made the key to out of a house key and then made a new one to
