[VIDEO] IndyCar's Conor Daly Takes NBC's Parker Kligerman Around Indy in the Corvette Z06 Pace Car

We’ve been waiting for this video from the IndyCar Series featuring one of their drivers taking the official 2023 Corvette Z06 Indy 500 Pace Car for a lap around the famous 2.5-mile oval track and today is the day!!

Here is Conor Daly who drives the number 20 Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing being paired with NBC racing analyst and NASCAR Driver Parker Klingerman for a couple of laps around the Indianapolis 500.

Conor is obviously new to the C8 Corvette platform as he would have immediately dropped the car into Track Mode when starting off down Pit Lane, but he does let the car move out on the straightaway as you can hear!

The conversation between the two drivers was fun as they discussed how the racing line is different for IndyCar racers vs NASCAR drivers at the Brickyard, but at one point, Conor says “Man this Chevy pace car I’m not gonna lie it’s got a lot of front grip!” Oh, and when you’re done watching, you’ll wish you were Scott Dixon as well!

  1. Loved the casual no BS tone of the conversation and overall video. Wish I could see the speeds to gain an appreciation for the car posture but I like what it was casually said. Front grip and comfortable sport for the Z06 is what I got out of this video. Good luck Conor.
