Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for May 15th

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It was a busy week for Mike…just like the one before, and the one before that…you get the idea! Mike kicks off this Sunday’s post by showing his stack of “deal folders” of those customers having their dream cars built in the next week. And then we get into the deliveries with these featured arrivals and Mike always shares how the owner equipped their cars. ~"Drive safely and enjoy the week." These are the words that I usually sign off this weekly delivery post. Today’s drivers are so distracted with their cell phone usage (That is an understatement). Thursday afternoon I left my Chevrolet office and was stopped in traffic with nowhere to go when I viewed a Black Mercedes Benz SUV coming at high speed in my rearview mirror. Glad I was in my Blazer and not my Corvette as I was able to brace for the impact. Reason #4,356 why insurance rates are up. I was hit hard but I’m ok.

~John B. of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and me have been talking Corvettes through the various forums for the last 15 years and yesterday we met up for the very first time at Criswell Chevrolet. He was visiting family in the Maryland area so he made a point of stopping by Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, MD. We conversed like we had known each other for decades, of course Corvettes are a big thing to have in common and he certainly has owned his fair share of beauty’s. He has gifted me a few Corvette pics and memorabilia over the years as he knew I lost a big part of my collection in Hurricane Sandy October 2012. The Corvette hobby starts with the cars but survives because of friends like John! Check out the picture of his 67 Shelby, he gifted me the picture and Shelby plaque from the actual car!

~ In the early 1970’s, Chevrolet sent a fleet of Chevy Show trucks to visit dealers across the country. The trucks contained displays of new accessories and equipment that could be ordered through the dealer’s parts department.

~Announced this week~Indy 500 Pace Car~2023 Corvette Z06~ It takes a legend to pace a legendary race. Former IndyCar driver and team owner Sarah Fisher, who remains the fastest woman in history, will lead the field to the green flag in the 2023 70th Anniversary Edition Pace Car at the 106th Indy 500.

~Keith G. of Melbourne, Florida factory ordered his Hypersonic Gray 2022 Corvette Z51 coupe from me and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at a Chevrolet dealer near him in Sanford, Florida. ~Stephen P. of Watsonville, California factory ordered his new Arctic White 2022 Corvette convertible from me and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealership in Salinas, California. ~Jeff S. of Olney, Maryland didn’t have to go far to order his Corvette from me as his home is a mere 8 miles in distance from Criswell Chevrolet of Gaithersburg. This is Jeff’s very first Corvette and he ordered a Ceramic Matrix Gray 2022 Corvette Z51 coupe with Adrenaline Red Seats. Equipment list: 1LT pkg, Z51 pkg, edge red calipers, and Sterling silver Trident wheels.
