Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

Lots of happy faces this week as Mike delivers some of the final 2022 Corvettes to his customers. ~I’m asked all the time is the 8th generation Corvette out hyping the other Corvette generations? Answer- Each generation was promoted and looked high upon but as we start (May 16th) the 4th year of C8 production…no other generation beats the fever pitch for this mid engine Corvette. Many things to point at but clearly the car is the star. Drive one…and see what I mean. As good as the C8 looks, it corners and handles like no other vehicle at it’s price point. This Summer, July 26th 2022 will be the start of my 45th year selling Corvettes.

~The Corvette Black Book from 1978-2022. Gary Konner, son of Malcolm Konner gifted me my first Black book and it was the 1978 version. That propelled my thirst for all things Corvette when it came to knowledge. Little did Gary know that I would talk very little and learn a lot as I was a sponge. 44+ years later and I’m still friendly with Gary and he shakes his head at all my Corvette deliveries. As I have said many times before, Gary and the Konner family are a huge part of my success. I believe the National Corvette Museum store has these "Corvette Black Books" to purchase. Buy one as your Corvette bible. The best $25 investment for knowledge, with Historical facts and figures dating back to 1953. Author Mike Antonick does a great job every year and well worth the read.

~Frank C. of Manalapan, New Jersey was referred to me by Gary Konner and the last time Frank bought a new Corvette was 1972 when he bought a leftover 1971 Corvette LT1 from Malcolm Konner Chevrolet of Paramus, NJ…I was still several years away from starting my employment for the Konner family! Last week Frank took delivery of his Silver Flare 2022 Corvette Convertible with Natural dipped interior. Equipment: 3LT, body color accents, chrome badges, magnetic ride, performance exhaust, sterling silver trident wheels, and much more. The other gentleman in the picture, Bobby C. Took delivery of his C8 at the museum a few months ago. Ironically Bobby was a real good customer of Gary Konner’s as well back in the 80’s and I was at Konner Auto in 1988 when Bobby traded his 1971 ZR1 Convt (1 of 1) for a brand new 1988 Callaway Corvette. Small world that I’m still selling Corvettes to past Malcolm Konner Chevrolet customers!

~Matt H. of Owasso, Oklahoma placed his order with for a new Amplify Orange 2022 Corvette Coupe and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local Chevrolet dealership in Broken Arrow, OK. Equipment list: 1LT pkg, CF full length dual racing stripes, composite rockers, contoured liner protection and much more. Note from Matt, “Here are a couple pics. First was the courtesy delivery. Second was yesterday on a Sunday drive to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, home of The Pioneer Woman (show on Food Network). We’ve discovered something quite surprising, my wife loves to drive the car! Haha. She’s actually put more miles on it than me. “ Matt of Oklahoma

~Mike G. of Kannapolis, North Carolina placed his Corvette factory order with me and this past week was his red carpet day as he took delivery at the Corvette Museum with his family. Mike ordered a Red Mist 2022 Corvette Convertible with black interior, 1LT pkg, CF black wheels with machined edge. Fun was the order of the day and everyone enjoyed themselves.

~Ken P. Of Pasadena, Maryland chose to order his very first new vehicle from me after finding me on the internet. Ken ordered an Amplify Orange 2022 Corvette Coupe with two tone Sky cool gray/ Black interior with Orange seat belts. This past week was delivery time and the rain held off just long enough for their one hour ride East to their home. Equipment list: 2LT pkg, GT2 seats, front lift, magnetic ride, performance exhaust, CF painted wheels and more. Ken had the Criswell Corvette technicians install the high wing spoiler.

~Rick G. of Thurmont, Maryland took delivery of his 29th Corvette this week, the newest previously was a 2013 so this mid engine Corvette will be a driving dream. Rick ordered an Arctic White 2022 Corvette Convertible with Adrenaline Red interior, 2LT pkg, bright red calipers, performance exhaust, low rear spoiler and the Black Trident wheels. This new Corvette will go well with his 1967 Corvette that’s in his garage.

The ad from 1958 for Rosenthal Chevrolet was a cool find! Bob Rosenthal was the first dealer to sponsor a Corvette club, in 1956. He sponsored some of the earliest winning Corvette race cars too.
Mr Shatner’s beautiful 63 Fuelie with period-correct chrome reversed rims is my favorite too.

My favorites are the pics of the custom C3 coupe with custom burgundy paint with gold graphics, the black Grand Sport replica and the C3 coupe with yellow paint and black stripes. I also liked the three C3 magazine ads. I can remember seeing those in HOT ROD magazine back in the day when I was a kid.

Agree — a ton of great pics this week, thank you! My favourites are the same as Robert’s, except I would add that spectacular Milano Maroon ’65 coupe sitting under the theatre marquee. That custom C3 coupe made wonder — where did all those wild custom Corvettes go? Back in the day it seemed every second magazine had another one on the cover, and you couldn’t avoid tripping over them at any car show you went to! That black Grand Sport replica is one bad machine. And those black stripes flowing out of vents on the yellow C3’s big block hood are great — why have I never seen any other big block C3s with stripes like that?
