[SPIED] First Sighting of a Black 2023 Corvette Z06


As far as we are aware, this is the first time we’ve seen a Black 2023 Corvette Z06. Thanks to corvette_nut for sharing this drive-by video. Just wish the quality was a bit better for the occasion, but you can see it’s definitely Black when it comes alongside the cameraman.

We can also appreciate the choice of chrome badges on the side of the car that really show well. At first, we were hoping this would be a 70th Anniversary Model and with it the first look at the Carbon Flash Metallic exterior exclusive to the model, however, it was missing the red stripe wheels and special edition badge so no dice there.

The Z06 Coupe is wearing Carbon Fiber wheels but it’s missing the familiar high wing associated with the Z07 package. Instead, we see what may be two mounting posts extruding from the rear fascia. Still waiting on the wing perhaps? They do ship separately…




Apparently a Black Z06 Coupe without a wing was also caught on video a couple weeks back and shared on Facebook. I can’t embed that video, but it was posted to the C8 Corvette Owner’s Group.

  1. A video on FB was posted on April 6th of a Black Z06. That was 2 weeks ago. Clearly this is not a “First Sighting”

I have 4 men that live around me that has something to do with GM because they have been getting C8 corvettes before they have been released and driving them to work I assume or wherever and pass my house and one turned into his neighborhood one day in front of me. So I see them after they have gone by mostly after they are passi g my house. I saw one the other day that was a night blue one. I have not seen a Z06 yet but probably a 23.

  3. This is not a real Z06.. I sell New Chevrolet and the factory has not shipped any yet. In fact, the lucky buyer that won the auction for the first production 2023 Z06 didn’t physically win a built model. He won the first production vin# and will have the opportunity to build/spec the car however he sees fit. My dealership has 30 pre orders for Z06 and we will not be able to fulfill every until at least 2025. I promise you, that’s not a real Z06.

  4. *Bulletin* Z07 High wing is on backorder due to supply chain issues. You will only get the two stumpy posts and a $50 credit until they are back in supply. ETA~2027.

  6. YES, SEVERAL WERE PRODUCED FOR ENGINEERS TO TEST DRIVER DAILY
