As we continue to wait for GM to push out the 2023 Corvette Stingray visualizer, we’ve been limited to closing our eyes and using our imagination as we try to determine how some of the new options – namely the 70th Anniversary Editions and the new 20-spoke wheels – will actually look on the car.

Thankfully, there are some helpful enthusiasts out there who have put their talents to use for the greater good like these two new Stingray renderings with the Q99 20-spoke wheels. The images were posted to the Corvette Forum by a member named “Lashedup” and I’m pretty certain we’ve seen some of his other great work here before.

As we learned earlier and confirmed in the 2023 Corvette Stingray Order Guide, the Stingray model will be getting a new wheel design that will be offered in three different finishes: Ultra Bright Machined-Face (Q99), Gloss Black (Q9I), and Carbon Flash with a Red Stripe (Q9A) for the 70th Anniversary editions.

One of the criticisms of the new wheels we’ve seen is that some consider them to be a bit too “busy” and we admit there is a lot going on here. However, I’ve said several times now that these are a derivative of the Z06 Spider wheels and the Gloss Black versions will probably smooth some of the edginess out of them.

We’re just thankful for another factory wheel option and the fact that these are forged is another reason to consider them as they are stronger and won’t have the porosity issues that the cast Trident wheel was showing last year. And with wheels starting at $995 for the Gloss Black to $1995 for these Ultra Bright Machined Face versions, that’s an aggressive price for real forged aluminum wheels.

Thanks for sharing these renderings, Lashedup!

Will you be adding any of the 20-spoke wheels to your 2023 Corvette Stingray order? Let us know in the comments below!
