When this C8 Corvette left the Bowling Green assembly plant, the work was just beginning to turn it into a true world-class supercar.
Among other changes, the owner has fitted a Grand Veloce Wide Body Kit from Duraflex, and the results are dramatic and much more aggressive, to say the least.
Duraflex designed and developed the wide body at its headquarters in Fullerton, California, and offers the kit at a cost of $1,709 for the front panels and the same amount for the rear. The body panels are made of hand laid, high quality 6-oz. fiberglass.
“Corvette owners looking for a more aggressive stance that accentuates the car’s already head-turning lines can now upgrade their aero with one of the biggest names in the industry,” the company boasts on its website.
We wouldn’t argue.
The Grand Veloce fender flares, which feature a riveted-on look, make the C8 Stingray up to four inches wider, allowing for a wider wheel and tire package to be installed. In this case, the owner chose a set of ADV10F Track Spec Advanced Series wheels measuring 20×9.5 in the front and 21×12 in the rear and featuring a brushed gloss liquid spoke finish with exposed titanium hardware.
Of course, the body kit isn’t the only difference from a stock Corvette as this one also features a Borla exhaust system, aftermarket throttle bodies, Halltech air intake, and roll cage.
Oh, and don’t forget the air suspension system that can lower the body just a few millimeters away from the pavement – definitely great-looking, but definitely not something you’d want to drive around for very long.

Frankenstein’s Dream Car….
Do world class super cars have screw-on fender flares? NO.
Are world class super cars “bagged”? NO.
Waste of money. Bolt on looks amateurish and like an after thought. Some people just don’t have taste.
Wheels are nice, riveted fender look not so much.
a show car that won’t win trophies not a road performance car at all with the bags.
