1966 Corvette Coupe

The second generation Corvettes have long been favorites of collectors who are able to choose between compelling models and options to find that perfect Corvette. While big blocks and convertibles tend to dominate the sales standings, you’ll want to take a closer look at this small-block ’66 Coupe offered at the Anaheim dealership.

1966 Corvette Coupe

Corvette Mike is offering this 1966 Corvette Sport Coupe with the popular L79 327/350 small block V8 engine. First offered in 1965 and enjoying a run through 1968, the workhorse 327/350 delivered the right combination of power and rock-solid reliability. The L79s were only available with the 4-speed manual transmission, but you could order some pretty nice options with it including the RPO C60 factory air conditioning.

During a recent restoration, the L79 engine was rebuilt and currently it features only break-in miles on the car. The owner also replaced the factory air compressor with a modern and reliable unit from Vintage Air which now pipes in ice-cold air throughout the ’66 Corvette Coupe.

Nassau Blue was the most popular color offered on the 1966 Corvette and this example wears it beautifully with no imperfections we could view from the photos. This Corvette packs plenty of curb appeal as well with its side exhaust and knock-off wheels wrapped in redline radial tires. The next owner will have years of fun with a car that can be driven anywhere. Are you ready to be its next caretaker? Contact Tim a call at 714-630-0700 today.

1967 Corvette Convertible

If you’re a collector who wants to add the big dog to the garage, look no further than the model that’s considered by some to be the most essential year and model Corvettes produced – the 1967 Corvette 427/435 L71 Convertible! This early build was assembled on September 19, 1966, and was originally shipped to Luby Chevrolet in Miami Florida according to the NCRS Shipping Data Report. This Black Sting Ray is the 1,006th Corvette built during the C2’s final model year.

1967 Corvette Convertible

The L71 435-hp V8 engine replaced the 1966 L72 427 as the top street engine in Corvette’s line-up, and it features high compression, a wild cam, and a tri-carb setup accentuated by the triangle-shaped air cleaner lid. Only the center carb delivers fuel under normal street driving, but jump on the accelerator and the outer carbs deliver additional fuel to the thirsty big block. Originally priced at $437.10, it was considered an expensive option back in the day, and yet 3,754 were produced.

Tuxedo Black was also the rarest color in 1967 and this example is combined with the black leather interior and red hood stinger. Only 815 Tuxedo Black ’67s were produced during the year and when you add in the winning combination of the matching numbers L71 V8, this is a rare bird indeed!

1967 Corvette Convertible

The Black Roadster only boasts 36,465 original miles on the car and options include the rare factory side exhaust and shoulder harnesses. The Corvette has been completely restored during a frame-off restoration and it’s documented with the original tank sticker. It was also further documented with a Bloomington Gold award back in 2006. 1972 Corvette Coupe

While the third generation of Corvettes started in 1968 and ran through 1982, collectors know that it’s the early “sharks” from 1968-72 that attract the most interest. Much of that was due to these early models of the C3 escaping the federal regulations that later saw chrome bumpers removed for the 5-mile-an-hour federally mandated polyurethane bumpers as well as crushing fuel economy mandates that would effectively neuter the big-block V8.

1972 Corvette Coupe

This 1972 Corvette Coupe offers the perfect intersection of power and comfort with its LS5 454/270-hp big block V8 that was mated to the Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. It’s loaded with options including the currently non-functioning air conditioning along with power brakes, power steering, custom interior trim, an AM/FM radio, and new BFG Radial T/A tires.

This ’72 Stingray also wears the rarest exterior color from 1972. It’s called Pewter Silver and only 1,372 examples representing 5% of total 1972 production were offered during the one-year run. Inside the car is the black leather deluxe interior while the chrome rally wheels offer an exclamation point on the car!

1972 Corvette Coupe

Corvette Mike purchased the Pewter Silver ’72 Corvette from a lady in Malibu who had given the car to her late husband as a surprise birthday gift. As the Corvette had been sitting for a couple of years, Corvette Mike’s techs when to work and provided an extensive once-over and refurbishment where needed. Only 20,691 miles are showing on the odometer and it’s now ready for many more! For more information on this 1972 Corvette Stingray, contact Tim at 714-630-0700.

  1. Re: The ’72, “Corvette Mikes techs went to work and provided an extensive once over and refurbishment where needed”. WOW, I’m shocked they didn’t fix the A/C, and in Southern Calif. no less.
