So about that commercial shoot today with the 2023 Corvette Z06 spied under a Pittsburgh bridge. I was so wrapped up with the idea that the Corvette Team actually had a Red Mist pre-production Corvette Z06 in public that I didn’t really get a chance to study the featured photo. And I can’t believe I missed this important detail…

The Carbon Flash Nacelles.

What we are looking at here is a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible in Red Mist with Natural Interior and some very bright wheels. This is a great color combination to show off a luxurious grand touring sports car, and it’s also another possible clue that both the Coupe and the Convertible models will be introduced together on October 26th.

The fact that its painted in Red Mist also seems to further our hypothesis that Chevy’s video teasers show the reveal colors on the Z06s will be Red Mist and Amplify Orange. When the reveal night comes and the Z06 Coupe with the Z07 Performance Package drives on the stage, will we see it in the new Amplify Orange? Stay tuned!

  1. When I saw the pic I showed my wife and said, “It’s almost a grandpa edition! Dark red with peanut butta’ guuutttss. If only it were convertible!” Turns out it IS the grandpa edition! Good thing I just ordered some New Balances on Amazon. I’m ready!!

  2. @ Chase — New Balances…ironic that I can wear those in a C8–but have to wear (Millennial style) Vans in my C7, because they’re less clunky and work better with the C7’s grandpa-style 3 pedals! 😀
