[VIDEO] Son Surprises Dad with His Dream Corvette on Father's Day


For years, Miguel Sr. had dreamed of owning a Corvette, but life and finances always seem to get in the way so he had to settle instead for toy versions of the car he has loved for years.

On Father’s Day, however, his son, Miguel Jr., gifted him with another model Corvette, posing for photos as the two men hugged in front of a garage door.

Then, the garage door started to rise slowly, and the dad’s long wait was finally over as cheers erupted from the onlooking family members, with a shiny red ’74 Corvette coupe with a big silver bow on the hood appearing!

Miguel Jr. had noticed his dad’s devotion to America’s Sports Car and, despite years of searching, hadn’t been able to locate the right one.

That is, until earlier this year when he finally spotted this red coupe for sale nearby and snapped it up. Of course, he had to build the drama by first tricking his dad with another toy version before finally revealing the real car of his dad’s dreams. The best part for us is that we all get to share the emotional moment thanks to a three-minute YouTube video they posted.

When he sees the Corvette, Miguel Sr. is overtaken with emotion, first walking over to the garage wall as he wipes his eyes, then exiting the garage and giving his son a long hug and finally a kiss on the cheek. Holding what apparently is his grandson, Miguel Sr. then opens the door of his Corvette, first placing the little boy in the front seat before climbing behind the wheel himself.

Miguel Jr. soon joins them in the passenger seat, and Miguel Sr. pulls out of the driveway into the street amidst cheers from other family members looking on.

Not many cars can elicit this kind of emotion. Aren’t you glad you’re a Corvette enthusiast, too?

  4. God bless the family. Rare are the moments for the son to express their everlasting love and appreciation to the dad. Life is so short – take advantage of every moment. What a great example to the grandson. Hoping the occasion repeats itself in a few years to between the 2nd and 3rd generation, and beyond,
