We first saw the last production 2020 Corvette earlier this year at Mecum’s Kissimmee auction. There it was a no-sale at $140,000. If you missed your chance to snag it then, you’ve another opportunity to bring it home next week at Mecum’s Summer Special auction in Orlando.

This time it’s crossing the block at no reserve which means whoever throws down the highest bid gets to park the Sebring Orange convertible in their garage.

The final 2020 Corvette Stingray, VIN 19456, was built on Dec. 14, 2020. It was finished in Sebring Orange with the Natural Dipped interior. The Hardtop convertible also features Elkhart Lake Blue emblems and Tension Blue seat belts. The top-dog 3LT package features GT2 Nappa leather seats, body color nacelles, roof, and boomerangs, plus the Carbon Flash split-spoke wheels. Interestingly, the popular Z51 performance package was not selected when it was ordered through VanBortel Chevrolet. Power, of course, comes from the 490hp LT2 which is mated to the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Today the car remains in its as-delivered condition including the plastic on the seats and the paper floor mats. Even the window sticker remains affixed to the passenger side of the windshield.

This will be an interesting auction to watch. Since January when this car bid to $140k, the C8 market appears to have cooled just a bit now that more cars are getting out to buyers. Will the recent announcement of the Z06’s pending reveal start to push Stingray prices down? Or will the “last 2020” status make this car less impacted by market trends? We’ll have to tune in on Saturday, July 31st when this car crosses the Mecum red carpet once again.

The Mecum Orlando Summer Special Auction takes place July 28th – 31st at the Orange County Convention Center. Vehicle sales will begin at 1pm on July 28th and at 10am on the 29th – 31st. NBC Sports will have TV coverage with a schedule that’s yet to be published.
