If you’re not first, you’re last.

At least that’s the way Will Farrell’s character Ricky Bobby looked at life on the race track.

Ricky’s assessment would be right about this 2020 Corvette convertible, too.

This Stingray is actually the last 2020 Corvette produced during a wild and crazy first year of production marred by delay after delay caused by the UAW strike and the coronavirus pandemic.

The last of the 2020s – VIN 19456 – will cross the block at the Mecum Auction in Kissimmee, Florida on January 16th.

This noteworthy Corvette- which has just six delivery miles – was ordered through our friends at Van Bortel Chevrolet and completed on the Bowling Green assembly line on Dec. 14, 2020 and still has the protective plastic intact on the seats and instrument panel.

Finished in Sebring Orange Tint Coat, a $995 option, this non-Z51 Stingray comes with the top-of-the-line 3LT package. Notably, it also includes the optional Tension Blue seat belts in the gorgeous Natural Dipped interior and Elkhart Lake Blue Corvette emblem on the rear bumper, as well as the $995 body color exterior accents, including the front and rear grille accents, side vents, and tonneau vent. Interestingly, it doesn’t have a rear spoiler.

Of course, this car includes the standard LT2 engine that produces 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, hooked to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Also included are a power retractable hardtop, head-up display, HD front curb camera, power tilt and telescopic steering column, Chevrolet infotainment center with Apple Carplay, upgraded Bose Performance speaker system, heated and ventilated seats, black rocker panel extensions, Carbon Flash Metallic outside mirrors, and 19- and 20-inch Carbon Flash wheels.

  1. Mecum is a fun event. I don’t know if this will be the most significant automobile at the event, but it certainly will come close if not being alone at the top. How much? Not one penny less than $130,000.00. AF
