The Franklin Mint has long been known for its precision model cars. We’re sure many of our readers even have one or more proudly displayed on a shelf somewhere. While they’ve been out of the Corvette game for a bit, they’re ready to jump back in with this 1:18 scale 2020 Corvette Stingray Indianapolis 500 Pace Car.

Details on the new model are still being developed but here’s what the Franklin Mint has to say: ‘The 2020 Corvette Stingray Pace Car is Torch Red and features the high Wing Spoiler and ground effects package. The Z51 Coupe will also wear the 104th Indy 500 livery on the doors. The new 2020 Stingray is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 194 mph!”

Looking at the website photos, it appears to be an excellent representation of the actual car that paced ‘the greatest spectacle in racing” last August. From the Torch Red paint, Carbon Fiber Aero, High Wing Spoiler, and even right down the Gold Oxide wheels this is a model anyone would love to have in their man cave or die-cast collection.

The 2020 Stingray Pace Car isn’t out yet, but you can reserve yours now on the Franklin Mint website. It’s estimated to hit the market this coming September. This cost is $189.99 plus shipping.
