[VIDEO] John Hennessey Takes his Twin-Turbo C8 Corvette for a Test Drive

We’ve been following the adventures of tuner John Hennessey who picked up his 2020 Corvette Stingray in Detroit and then drove it 1400 miles back to his shop in Texas. Once the car arrived at the Hennessey Performance, a twin-turbo system was bolted onto the rear of the car, utilizing the space where the mufflers were. Following the install, the dyno results showed 643 RWHP and 570 lb-ft of torque.

In this next video, John Hennessey takes the car out to his test track where he makes a few runs while having a discussion on what he is feeling from the twin-turbo powered Corvette.

Hennessey believes he’ll be able to get the Corvette up to 1,000 hp with anywhere from 800 hp to 850 hp at the rear wheels and he thinks it will run the quarter-mile in the high nines at 140 mph so stay tuned and enjoy the ride!!
