Is the world ready for the first twin-turbo C8 Corvette?

It feels like it was just yesterday that John Hennessey picked up his Sebring Orange 2020 Corvette at Matick Chevy in Detroit and drove it 1,400 miles back to Hennessey’s headquarters in Houston. Any yet, while everyone else is cooped up at home and many non-essential businesses have closed, the tuners at Hennessey Performance have created the world’s first twin-turbo C8 Corvette.

This is just a preview of what’s to come and we are anxiously awaiting more about the build as well as the performance boost that the exhaust-mounted turbos provide to the LT2 V8.

  1. Jeff Butler, the Ford GT doesn’t sound good even with an aftermarket exhaust. The 3.5 EcoBoost V6 sounds awful in every Ford vehicle that’s equipped with it. The Ford F-150 Raptor being the worse sounding of the bunch. The 6.2 V8 Raptor sounded a thousand times better!

  2. What is the transmission capable of handling? That’s the one unknown as it’s a new component with no history.

  3. C’mon Hennessy, you know what we all want more than forced induction…
    Give us a manual conversion!!!
