We caught wind of a private Chevy Dealers event this morning at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway that features the C8 Mobile Showroom set up with two different 2020 Corvettes in attendance.
Shown in some social media photos is the Torch Red 2020 Corvette Stingray that was parked inside the C8 showroom while the Ceramic Matrix Gray non-Z51 Coupe was parked outside on pit lane in front of the world famous pagota.
A number of Indy 500 Corvette Pace Cars were parked on the patio leading up to the entrance of the Pagoda as was the custom black semi and trailer that transports the C8 Corvettes to different events.
IMS President Doug Boles shared these photos on twitter:
The @IMS is home today to a sneak preview of the new @chevrolet Corvette! Appropriate place given the long history between the IMS & @TeamChevy! Many of the historic #Indy500 pace cars are here too! pic.twitter.com/ZuPanCreaU

One of our facebook friends was at the event which is how we learned it was a Chevy Dealers event. Thanks to Jessa Ashton for sharing this video of the Ceramic Matrix Gray Stingray outside on pit lane:
I can’t wait to see this new Corvette decked out with a pace car livery and leading the field of IndyCars to the start of the Indianapolis 500! I would also say it’s a safe bet that we’ll see this happen in May of 2020!

IT SEEMS ITS TIME, MAYBE PAST TIME, FOR THE CORVETTE TO BE ESTABLISHED AS THE PERMANENT PACE CAR AT INDY.
uh.. you heard about the strike right? 😛
I’m saying the Pace Car will be Torch Red with the great Indy 500 logo! Not quite ready to trade in my 2007 Indy 500 Festival Car for the new C8.
