[SPIED] C8 Corvette Prototype Spotted After Lingenfelter's Cars and Coffee

We have a new “In the wild” video thanks to youtuber Peter Calcaterra who spotted the camouflaged 2020 Corvette prototype as he exited the Cars and Coffee event in Wixom at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering on a rainy Saturday morning.

The video is mostly scenes from the Cars and Coffee events and there are some really great cars featured. One of the first shown is Ken Lingenfelter’s personal arctic white Corvette ZR1 which we are told has now been modified to have 1,000 horsepower! Thanks to HP Tuners for making that happen!

A couple other cars are also featured including a 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Sport Coupe. As with most Cars and Coffee events, there is the sweet sound of high performance cars leaving the event.

I know you’re hoping to hear the sound of the C8 Corvette prototype and our youtuber doesn’t disappoint! As Peter hits the road, he comes upon the 2020 Corvette driving down the road. We get a couple of close up shots as both cars roll up to a stop light and then as the C8 takes off, Peter is able to get pick up that exhaust note emanating from what we think is a 6.2L LT2 V8 that will make somewhere in the vicinity of 500 horsepower!

Thanks again to Peter for capturing this video. Peter can also be found on Instagram under the name @thedetroitcarspotter so check it out if you have a moment!

  1. Spied, really? These continued Chevrolet planned opportunity random pics are almost like watching the Apollo 14, 15, 16 and 17 missions…anti-climatic. However, like the many I’m truly looking forward to the 7/18 reveal…and to come firsthand C8 experience.
    Still, thank you for posting.
