Not only that, but the Corvette is also helped as the race started from a 40-mph roll instead of a drag race from a standing start which would probably benefit the Demon that’s built for such launches.
But we aren’t complaining about the outcome as the Arctic White Corvette ZR1 handily beats the Demon at Hennessey’s test track.
The Red Dodge Demon is capable of a quarter mile run in 9.83 seconds while HPE’s beefed-up ZR1 recently did a quarter mile run in 9.52 seconds so it would be fun to see the two cars lined up side by side.
This shouldn’t be a fair race as
Hennessey Performance was able to unlock the performance of the LT5 V8 with the use of HPTuners ZR1 ECM Purchase/Exchange service. To see what your Corvette ZR1 is capable of, visit our friends at HP Tuners for more information.

Wow!!! One of my favorite vids ever!! Excellent audio for a change, both sounded awesome, god I love that sound. The vette though, wholly shit just left that Mopar. From the air the vette looks like it’s half the size of the Challenger, and of course looks a million times better. Think I will watch that again.
One other thing, I REALLY wish that tuner school would have been around thirty yrs ago. Geez I would have been ALL over that. I would love to do that, to old now. Damn, and yes I did watch the vid again. AWESOME!!
