[VIDEO] Hennessey's HPE1000 Corvette ZR1 on the Dyno

It’s been a long wait for tuners as the 2019 Corvette ZR1’s ECM remained locked away for the last 13 months behind GM’s enhanced security protocols. We learned last week that HP Tuners is now offering a tunable ECM for the ZR1 and we are now seeing the first videos from performance shops as they begin sharing their results.

Hennessey Performance has been holding onto a 2019 Arctic White Corvette ZR1 for some time now. The stock 755-hp Corvette ZR1 was on the dyno eight months ago to run some baseline numbers and it showed the rear wheel hp at 654 and 645 lb-ft of torque.

The White ZR1 was back again on the dyno last week following its first custom tune from the team at Hennessey which was made possible with the ZR1 ECM exchange service and software from HP Tuners. The description does say that Hennessey used the Chevy Performance cold air intake and the results show an increase of the base horsepower to 715 at the wheels, a net gain of 61 hp.

But the big news from Hennessey was their first HPE1000 Corvette ZR1 which is now making 905 rwhp and 844 lb-ft of torque on Shell 93 octane fuel. The description is a bit light on what exactly what was done to the car, but if Hennessey followed their own specs for the HPE1000 Package, then the ZR1 has a new a high-flow air induction system, custom HPE camshaft, ported cylinder heads, lower pulley upgrade, and the odds and ends to make it all work, plus the custom engine calibration utilizing HP Tuners software.

The sound from the ZR1 is glorious so make sure you’ve got your speakers set for loud!

Hennessey Performance offers upgrades for all models of the C7 Corvette line-up so check them out at HennesseyPerformance.com if you are so inclined. And don’t forget to visit our friends at HP Tuners for more information on their ZR1 ECM Purchase/Exchange service.
