[VIDEO] 2018 Bolwing Green Assembly Plant Tour

The Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been the home of the Corvette since 1981. In 2017, the plant underwent major renovations and has since been closed to public tours. Several public presentations by plant representatives over the past year have provided the content for this video.

The compilation of photos and video clips has been organized in what I believe to be a logical order of plant operations. I am optimistic that plant tours will resume by mid-2019, but hopefully, this video will provide a glimpse into what the newly retooled assembly process looks like.

  1. After going through the plant and seeing the C7 built I enjoyed your video. Thank for building the Great American Sports Car. I’ve love these cars seen 1967 when I got to trade for a day my Honda 300 Dream for the opportunity to drive a 1960 White and red 3 speed convertible. That was the beginning and in 1968 I was driving a 1962. Today a 1991 white convertible. Thank you for my enjoyable fun every time I get in to your wonderful sports car.

  2. Thank you this was a great video. It has been a long time since I have visit the plant and I hope to do again.

    Bob Cowan, I currently drive a 2014 black coupe Z51, 3LT.

  3. I’ve been through the older assy tour several times and always enjoyed it. Didn’t get to see mine go through but maybe next time. Keep up the good work.

  4. For two days in August 2015, my Grandson Mason and I watched our 2016 ZO6 being built in the Bowling Green assembly plant. Two weeks later we took delivery at the Corvette Museum. In August of this year we took delivery of our 2019 ZR1 at the Corvette Museum. Having the ability to watch the ZR1 being built would have been awesome. Maybe the next one! Thank you for the video.
