Pratt Miller Motorsports has offered up the first look at the new Corvette Z06 GT3 Pro racers in their traditional Yellow/Black racing liveries this week. The Z06 GT3.R will hit the track in public during the Roar Before the 24 in mid-January ahead of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

One of the featured vehicles to cross the auction block at Mecum’s Las Vegas sale over the weekend was this Rapid Blue 2023 Corvette Z06 with Z07, Carbon Fiber wheels, and the full visible Carbon Fiber aero package. Inside is a 3LZ interior with two-tone Tension/Twilight Blue GT2 seats with orange seatbelts, and it was further optioned with the Level 2 interior Carbon Fiber trim package as well as the stealth interior trim.

We’ve written several times about the unknown issue that has forced GM to ship new 2024 Corvettes from the assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky to a holding lot in Pontiac, Michigan. A spokesperson who originally commented on the subject had said it was for an update/repair on an issue that GM has yet to acknowledge.

YouTuber Robert Lewis hits the SEMA show floor and brings us some walkarounds are multiple examples of Dave Kindig’s CF1 custom 1953 roadsters and he also captures a few other gems. Included are Kevin Hart’s 1,000 horsepower Dodge Challenger nicknamed BANE, a Chevy C10 pickup, and a 1968 Ford Bronco.
The video ends with a 1953 Corvette CF1 Roadster #009 owned by Corvette Mike that was displayed this year at The Quail, and we see him drive off in it following the show. You can see more of the CF1 offered on CorvetteMike.com.
Making room for those two golf bags or the removable roof panel led to perhaps the biggest challenge for engineers who developed the 2023 Corvette Z06.
That’s the word from Corvette Chief Engineer Josh Holder in a recent trackside interview at Pittsburgh International Race Complex with Design News Senior Editor Dan Carney for an episode of their “Engineering Solutions by Design” podcast.
