[VIDEO] MotorTrend Adds the 2023 Corvette Z06 to its Long-Term Test Fleet

MotorTrend has added a new 2023 corvette Z06 with the Z07 Performance Package to its long-term test fleet and that’s good news for Corvette enthusiasts as we can expect to see them do all kinds of fun stuff with the car.

As the C8 Z06 was the MotorTrend’s 2023 Performance Car of the Year, we’re glad to see that they will be able to keep evaluating the car and providing us with future content featuring America’s newest supercar. Whenever a vehicle wins one of MotorTrend’s yearly awards, they request to keep the car for a longer review.

Bringing us this announcement is MotorTrend’s Johnny Lieberman who is behind the wheel of the Amplify Orange 2023 Corvette Z06 at the Radford Racing School in Chandler, AZ. We can see the car is a Coupe and is equipped with visible Carbon Fiber wheels.

Johnny takes the car onto the track and gives us a rundown on the specs of the car. He sums up the experience by saying:

“I’m not going to say the 2023 ZO6 is a race car for the street, because it’s not. But can we say it’s a race car for the track? Oh yes…oh yes, we can. I’ll leave you with one more bromide…if you can find a better track a toy, buy it. Fair warning, however, a Porche GT3 RS is about twice the price. Outstanding work here Chevy, outstanding!”

  1. Where does this guy get off saying the 2023 Z06 isn’t a race car for the street? If it’s not a race car for the street I don’t what is. Also what the hell is a bromide? I have never heard that word.

  2. Robert, he uses bromide in referring to a commonly used/overly used statement. In this case “if you can find a better track toy……. “ Bottom line, he seems to truly like and respect Chevrolet for building a very capable track car.

  3. Raymondh310, thanks for enlightening me. You learn something new everyday. I’ve since realized too that I came across that word in a different context back in the day in high school chemistry class and totally forgot about it.
