Dealers got a big fat ZERO.

We’ve had today’s date circled on our calendar since November 22nd, as that is when Chevrolet outlined December-February order cycles for the Stingray and the Z06. The Z06 allocation schedule showed today as the day for the order cycle to start.

One of the features coming up on the all new 2024 Corvette E-Ray is Stealth Mode, which Chevy says is perfect for starting up and leaving the neighborhood without waking everyone up. But what to do about the C8 Stingray and its 495-hp start up bark in the mornings?

When Corvette Racing followed the street version of America’s Sports Car into the exotic mid-engine architecture of its eighth generation, it did so with the added challenge of testing/proving the viability of the brand’s first-ever flat-plane V8. As awesome as the new powerplant and its high-RPM shriek are, it has left a lot of long-time “Yellow Team” fans – your author included – feeling nostalgic for the days when the C5-C7.R proudly roared their signature cross-plane thunder on the otherwise stuffy international endurance racing stage. Well, friends, you had better circle June 10th and 11th on your calendar because that glorious Porsche-scaring sound will be making a comeback at the 100th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, thanks to the crazy dream of a man named France.

Have you ever used the remote start to surprise those around your C8 Corvette? Here is a video that shows some unsuspecting people trying to get a selfie with a purple C8 Corvette and their reactions as the owner hits the remote start button.

I have seen some commentors say this video is staged, and that may be the case with some of them, but there were some genuinely surprised reactions to the car starting up. Perhaps the most disturbing side of this video is the utter lack of care that people show to property that isn’t theirs. In the words of retired Corvette quality manager Steve Grilli, “Don’t Lean on the Dream!”

We’ve got a new video this week from the Fourwheel Trader, a YouTube site dedicated to understanding the market conditions for various vehicles. FourWheel Trader has been looking at the secondary C8 Corvette market since 2020, and he pulls in around 2,500 C8 Corvettes for sale to analyze the pricing data and info about the cars age and mileage to determine where the market is headed.

[VIDEO] 2023 Corvette Z06 Races the McLaren Artura for Quarter Mile Glory

About a week ago, we came across a video of a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. The car was run against the McLaren Artura and a Huracan Evo, but the video was rather poor in that it captured the launches but didn’t show any times or the actual finish of the races.

Today, we have a redo thanks to the DragTimes YouTube channel that was also there, and had multiple cameras attached to the car so you would know exactly how the cars finished. This video focuses on the battle between the 670-hp Corvette Z06 and the Artura, which is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 making 671-hp.
