General Motors released their November Sales report earlier this week and Corvette sales are remaining steady. In November 2012, a total of 1,104 Corvettes were sold. This is 21.3% more than the 910 Corvettes sold during November 2011. For the calendar year to date, 12,841 Corvettes have been sold between January-November 2012. This is 5.9% better than 2011′s Corvette sales of 12,126 during the same months.
GM Sales Reports
Despite being in the twilight of its final year of production, 2013 Corvettes continue to be sold by Chevrolet dealers in strong numbers. In the latest sales report from General Motors, 1,167 Corvettes were sold in the month October. This was a 23.4% increase from the 946 Corvettes that sold in October 2011 and for the 2012 Calendar year, Corvette sales are up a 4.6% with 11,737 Corvettes built between January-October 2012 vs 11,216 Corvettes during the same period in 2011.
In its latest monthly sales report, General Motors listed 1,210 Corvettes sold in the month of August 2012. This was a 29.3% increase over August 2011′s 936 Corvette sold and represents a 24% increase in sales from the 986 Corvettes sold in July 2012. For the Calendar year to date, a total of 9,870 Corvettes have been sold, maintaining a modest 1.1% increase over the same time periord in 2011.
General Motors released the July 2012 sales report this week and the data shows 987 Corvettes were delivered during the month. This is a huge decline from June 2012 where 1,475 Corvettes found new homes, however it was somewhat expected with the extended July shutdown at the assembly plant.
Comparing July 2012 sales to July 2011′s number of 1,291 Corvettes sold, deliveries are off a whopping -23.5%. For the calendar year to date, a total of 8,009 Corvettes have been sold which is pacing -2.2% off of 2011′s CYTD 8,187 sales figure.
Looking for some good news regarding new Corvette sales? According to GM’s June 2012 sales report released last week, Corvette sales jumped to 1,475 cars for the month, an increase of 13.5% over June 2011′s 1,299 deliveries.
This is the best sales figure we’ve had since September 2009 when 1,589 Corvettes were sold. For the calendar year, sales are up 1.8% with 7,022 Corvettes delivered between January-June 2012 compared with 6,896 Corvettes sold over the same time period in 2011.
On Friday, General Motors released their monthly sales report for May 2012 and it shows that 1,219 buyers took delivery of a new Corvette. Despite sales being down -6% from May 2011′s number of 1,304, this a very solid sales figure which includes deliveries of the very first 2013 Corvettes. For the calendar year to date, Corvette sales are pacing slightly behind 2011 (-0.9%) with 5,547 Corvettes delivered in 2012 vs 5,597 Corvettes in 2011.
General Motor’s March Sales Report brings good news to the Corvette Team as sales for the month were up 18% over March 2011. Last month, GM sold 1,376 Corvettes vs 1,163 in March 2011. For the calendar year, Corvette sales are up 3.3% with 2,932 Corvettes sold in 2012 vs 2,839 Corvettes sold in 2011. This is the third month in a row that Corvette sales have increased over the previous month and the March total is the highest sales figure we’ve seen since April 2011.
We got the new sales figures for February from General Motors yesterday and it looks as though Corvette Sales have rebounded from the dismal 629 Corvettes sold in January. In February, 927 Corvettes were delivered to new owners. This is slightly down from 2011′s 955 Corvettes sold. For the year, sales are running -7.2% off of 2011 with 1,556 total deliveries so far in 2012.
General Motors issued their sales report and if you haven’t heard the news, it was a pretty dismal month for sales across the board for GM brands. While overall Chevy sales were down only -1.2%, sales of the Corvette dropped nearly -13% to 629 for the month, a number we haven’t seen since February 2010.
