General Motors released their 3rd Quarter sales report on Monday morning and it was a bit of a mixed bag for Corvette Sales. Chevrolet delivered 7,939 new Corvettes for the quarter, which was down 21.9% over the same time period last year, which saw 10,166 new Corvettes delivered.
For the Calendar Year to Date (January-September), a total of 25,380 new Corvettes have been delivered, and that is tracking ahead of last year’s 24,748 deliveries during the same time period with a modest gain of 2.6%.
With the current calendar year total of 25,380 Corvettes produced, the assembly plant would need to build 7,661 Corvettes in 4th Quarter to equal the 33,041 total Corvettes produced in the calendar year 2021.
Our Corvette Sales Archives will be updated in January 2023 with the release of GM’s official 4th Quarter 2022 sales numbers.

From the official sales release:
DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) sold 555,580 vehicles in the United States in the third quarter, up 24% year over year, based on strong customer demand and improved availability. Three of GM’s vehicle brands posted double-digit total sales gains, with Chevrolet up 30%, GMC up 24% and Cadillac up 50%.
GM and its dealers were able to translate improved semiconductor supplies, stable production and improvements in dealer inventory into a nearly 3-point improvement in retail market share year over year (J.D. Power PIN), as well as significant sales gains in the commercial fleet market.
“The design, technology and manufacturing investments we have made are helping us meet strong customer demand for our products, and they’ve translated into sales leadership in some of the industry’s most important segments,” said Steve Carlisle, GM executive vice president and president, GM North America. “We are being very intentional in the way we are executing our EV strategy to position the company for the same kind of success that we’ve earned with today’s pickups and SUVs, and with supercars like the Chevrolet Corvette.”

Considering parts shortages and other unanticipated interruptions, it is remarkable to see that BGA is cranking out more Gen 8 Corvettes than they did C7. Well done!
For my bretheren out there still awaiting 3000 or higher, know that when you get behind the wheel and start your new ride, that the wait will be worth it!
Typo in your chart — 3rd quarter 2022 is shown as 7,39 but should be 7,939.
Every time I can never look at this chart in it’s entirety beyond October because of the stupid ass pop up ads that block out the right side of the chart. It’s annoying!
The C8 rollout has been a joke! When your Corvette is in your garage you’ll know you paid way too much!
Daniel…they are producing more than years past before the pandemic and since parts shortages…look at the numbers. You don’t like the prices, time to go to Porsche, I’m sure they will give you a better deal and a stick shift. lol
Clearly states this are USA numbers only. Won’t be surprised to see a higher number for world wide sales. Maybe close to 37K units.
