Every little bit helps the bottom line.

That seems to be the company motto for General Motors Mexico, where sales climbed 9 percent in February 2023 to a “whopping” 13,376 units among the four brands of Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac.

Statistically speaking, February proved to be a great month for the mid-engine Corvette, which saw sales climb an impressive 375 percent compared to February 2022. Of course, closer examination shows that just means 19 Corvettes were sold in Mexico in February 2023, compared to 4 a year earlier.

The big sellers in Mexico in February 2023 were all Chevys, including the Aveo (4,792 units), Captiva (1,276), Groove (1,242) S10 Max (1,175), and Silverado (813).

Heading in the opposite direction, we’d love to get the story behind the lone person who bought a Chevy Spark last month. At least he won’t have to worry about seeing his twin at a car show!

GM had reported nine consecutive months of growth in Mexico until recording a 10 percent dip in January 2023, when 10,422 units were sold across all four brands, including just three Corvettes.

  1. I put in an order for a 2023 corvette last July. Does anyone have any idea how I get this car moving forward. I’ve started looking at other manufacturers. Not happy with gm’s communication.
