The Corvette team will need to make a little more room on the mantle for yet another award. Strategic Vision announced last week their list of winners for their 2011 Total Value Awards. The C6 Corvette Coupe took home top honors in the Premium Coupe segment beating out another CorvetteBlogger favorite, the Cadillac CTS Coupe.
Awards & Accolades
Looking for the best American-made 2012 vehicle you can buy?
Well, according to Consumer Reports, then you need to buy a Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
We know in our hearts that the Corvette is one of the best cars ever made. Now our brain can feel good about it, too.
IntelliChoice has just named the 2012 Corvette the Best Overall Value of the Year in the Premium Performance Car category for the second year in a row.
Jan Magnussen Voted Most Popular Driver, Dan Binks Named GT Mechanic of the Year
BRASELTON, Ga., Oct. 2, 2011 – Twenty-four hours after the checkered flag fell at the season-ending Petit Le Mans, the roar of racing engines was replaced by applause, toasts, and words of gratitude as the American Le Mans Series celebrated its champions. Corvette Racing drivers and team members were among the honorees at the awards ceremony.
IntelliChoice and AutoPacific have once again teamed up for their sixth annual Motorist Choice Awards which recognize vehicles that deliver a combination of high consumer satisfaction and lower-than-expected ownership costs. Vehicles are categorized into a collection of 15 popular lifestyle segment categories and the Chevrolet Corvette was chosen the “popular” winner of the Performance category.
The voting ended Sunday night for the American Le Mans Series “From the Fans” award and as you may know, we were pushing Corvette Racing pretty hard. Now it’s time for us to make a similar push for Oliver Gavin and Jan Magnussen, drivers of the #4 Corvette C6.R who were nominated for the prestigious Most Popular Driver award.
Last month, IntelliChoice released their first annual mid-year Cost of Ownership analysis and the cars and trucks that score high in the cost of ownership surveys are known as “Best Bets”. Unlike its annual Best Overall Value of the Year analysis, the Best Bets are vehicles from the new model year that demonstrate the highest potential for achieving outstanding value over time. Chevrolet had three vehicles rank as “Best Bets” for the 2012 model year including the Chevrolet Corvette.
One of the hallmarks of any good sized car show is the opportunity to have your car compete for an award and Corvettes at Carlisle was no different. As one of the celebrity judges (my mom is so proud!) for the 2011 show, it was my job to wander the show field and find a Corvette worthy of the “Keith’s Choice” award.
The writers at Forbes obviously know a good investment when they see one. In their list of “Top 10 New Car Deals for July”, Forbes looks at the best deals and incentives offered by the automakers, specifically the direct-to-consumer cash rebates, discounted financing promotions and marketing-support incentives which are additional dealer discounts. With the 2012 Corvette on the way, Chevy wants to move the 2011s and Forbes took notice of the sweet deal on America’s favorite sports car.
