2024 Corvette Wins J.D. Power's 2024 Canada ALG Residual Value Award

While C8 Corvettes aren’t quite as hot on the resale market as they once were, they continue to remain among the most popular vehicles being sold today.

The 2024 Corvette has just been selected the winner of its category in the J.D. Power 2024 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards – repeating an honor earned in December for the U.S. market.

The awards honor the models that are projected to hold the highest percentage of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) after a four-year period for mass market vehicles, and after a three-year period for premium vehicles.

According to J.D. Power, this year’s recipients, including the Corvette, “have shown strong forecasted value in their competitive segments in the Canadian market.” They praised manufacturers like General Motors for providing “consistent quality, durability, and pricing” that ultimately leads to higher residual values.

The awards are “a vital consideration” for shoppers assessing the total cost of ownership for a particular vehicle, whether it’s financed, leased, or purchased with cash, J.D. Power says.

For model year 2024, 15 brands earned awards in 28 segments, with 298 model lines undergoing analysis of used-vehicle performance, brand outlook, and product competitiveness.

The Chevy Silverado 3500 HD also earned a win in its category.
