Even though prices have started to fall for used C8s as production of new cars has increased, the mid-engine Corvette continues to dominate the marketplace.

In fact, the 2024 Corvette has been named winner of the Midsize Premium Sporty Car category in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards.

The awards honor the vehicles that are projected to hold the highest percentage of their manufacturer’s suggested retail price after three years. According to J.D. Power, “this value retention is a key variable in the lease cost of a vehicle, underscoring an automaker’s success in the areas of long-term quality and design, as well as the overall desirability of automotive brands and their models.”

The 2024 award process consisted of evaluating 293 models from the 2024 model year through analysis of used-vehicle performance, brand outlook, and product competitiveness.

Two other General Motors vehicles were honored in their categories, including the Chevrolet Trax and the GMC Sierra 3500 HD.
