One of the color surprises for the C8 Corvette is that Chevy is ready to swap out Corvette Racing Yellow first introduced in 2016 for a new shade called “Accelerate Yellow”. We know how important Yellow is to the Corvette Design team as it’s now a given that the highest profile yellow Corvettes will be the new C8.Rs that will most likely see their first track action next January at the Rolex 24 at Daytona just as the first C8 street cars begin shipping.

While we don’t yet have anything new to share on the new Yellow exterior, we do have a couple new renderings of C8 Corvettes in Yellow that can help us visualize the color on the Mid-Engine body.

Joe Di Carlo has owned his black 1980 Corvette since just before he graduated from high school in 1985.

Now, some 34 years later, he’s decided to donate his pride and joy to a local youth counseling and mental health support agency called Maryvale in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for May 26th

Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

It was another busy week for Mike as he counts the number of new deals made in the last seven days. We see a Tommy Milner Drivers Series Grand Sport delivered to a customer and a Black ZR1 gets an R8C Museum Delivery. One customer upgrades from a ’17 Z06 Convertible 8-speed auto to a ’19 Z06 Convertible with a 7-speed manual while a couple other White C7s are also delivered. Since 2012, the Bartlett (Tenn.) Police Department has been driving a Corvette confiscated from a drug offender to local schools to let youngsters know about the dangers of illegal drug use.

The department has been using the 1999 Corvette as its DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) vehicle for the past seven years but now has the vehicle up for sale on govdeals.com.
