Some fortunate youngsters are getting to spend a few days this week at the inaugural “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” summer camp at the National Corvette Museum, and video posted by the Bowling Green Daily News seems to show they’re having a blast.
Another piece of the 2020 Corvette reveal puzzle fell in place this afternoon after a Corvette Forum member shared his confirmation email today.
As per our post yesterday about the various groups of people being invited to the event, ElisTwoCents is a Southern Californian who is one of approximately 75 Corvette enthusiasts invited to bring out their Corvettes to display at the event.
We told you previously that ZR1 Corvette ordering has already closed and the plant will soon be producing the final cars in the model run. Our friend Mike Furman of Criswell Chevrolet let us know today that he’ll have one of the very last 2019 ZR1 Corvettes produced and man, does it sound like a great car!
Despite the conventional wisdom that C7 Corvette sales are down because of the impending arrival of the next-generation C8 Corvette, we learned earlier this month that Chevy dealers sold an unofficial 1,800+ new Corvettes in May 2019 as enthusiasts took advantage of huge mark-downs and incentives to get behind the wheel of the new car.
