Former Corvette Assembly Plant Manager Jeff Lamarche to Lead GM's Spring Hill Facility


Former Bowling Green Assembly Plant Manager Jeff Lamarche will take over the lead at the General Motors Spring Hill Manufacturing site in Tennessee early next year.

Lamarche was plant manager in the early days of the C7, from 2014-15, and retains a warm spot in his heart for the car as he still attends Corvette events, including last year’s Bash.

2020 Corvette is Sold Out According to GM's North American President


We’ve heard for months now that the C8 Corvette is going to be hard to find for 2020.

Now, GM North America President Barry Engle has confirmed to MotorTrend that all 40,000 of the C8s that Chevrolet plans to build for 2020 are already accounted for. That probably means that dealer allocations have been filled for the slots for both the coupe and convertible versions.

With our second place ‘Vette of the ’80s though, America’s Sports Car continued its crawl out of the malaise era and was now gaining back options, performance, quality, and the respect that it deserved. Ladies and Gentlemen, we submit the 1986 Corvette as our silver medal winner from the 1980s.

Take a look at this photo of a 1966 Milano Maroon Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray coupe. Notice the Rapid Blue 2020 Corvette Stingray coupe in the background in the garage.

That should give you a clue that these are not two ordinary Corvettes since the C8 isn’t even available yet to ordinary drivers.
