DETROIT (Dec. 30, 2019) – Corvette Racing returns to the racetrack for another season of IMSA competition, but this time in a very different guise than past years. This weekend’s Roar Before the 24 marks the first public running of the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R, which Corvette Racing will field for this year’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
Saying that it “delivers on decades of promise,” the Detroit Free Press has named the 2020 Corvette Stingray as its Car of the Year, adding to an ever-growing list of honors for Chevy’s legendary and reimagined sports car.

I’ve recently made an observation about Black C8 Corvettes. I’ve seen more than a couple of Black C8 Corvettes since the reveal, yet every new sighting always seems like I am looking at it for the first time.
Each week, Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvette Stingrays, Grand Sports, Z06s and ZR1s to his customers who come from all parts of the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

We have some great readers here at CorvetteBlogger who are quick to send us any interesting encounters they have had with the new 2020 Corvettes. Those that reside in Michigan and especially in the area of GM’s Milford Proving Grounds have probably seen more C8 Corvettes on the road than anywhere outside of Bowling Green, but that doesn’t mean it’s old news to us!
