It was nearly two weeks ago that we got our first look at the new Red Mist Metallic for the 2021 Corvettes thanks to our friends at the National Corvette Museum. And while the color looked pretty good on the Z51 Coupe, the sky was overcast and we didn’t really get to see how the metallic would sparkle in the bright sunshine.

That’s not the case this weekend as the long-standing program races for the first time at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval in a 100-minute sprint race.

Before the C7 Corvette totally rides off into the sunset, Reeves Callaway and his team have unveiled the 25th Anniversary Callaway Corvette Special Edition to celebrate their long and high successful GT3 racing heritage.

I don’t think anyone really knew just how hot the mid-engine C8 Corvette was going to be when it was unveiled in California in July 2019. With the move of the engine behind the driver and a price tag that was almost impossible to fathom, the 2020 Corvettes have become instant collectibles and were snapped up quickly. And that was before the UAW strike and the COVID-19 shutdowns put even more demand on the new sportscar. But there’s still a chance to bring home a 2020 Corvette this year thanks to the annual sweepstakes through the International Motor Racing Research Center.
