We know from spy photos and video sightings that Corvette engineers are busy developing future C8 Corvette models and based on history as well as recent sightings, it’s widely believed that it’s the high-performance Z06 that is next on the reveal list. And while we have these Z06s mules running around conducting tests on public roads, it was last June that something entirely different was spied for the time…a C8 widebody mule with a center-mounted exhaust.

Last week we were surprised as Corvette Racing unloaded their two C8.Rs with a special Sebring livery to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the team’s partnership with Mobil 1 motor oil. Corvette Racing’s special relationship with Mobil 1 has combined for 114 wins around the world, and the new livery for the 12 Hours of Sebring featured both C8.Rs in Gray with Red and White graphics differentiating the No. 3 from the No. 4 C8.R.

[VIDEO] Drive 615 Reviews a Red Mist 2021 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe

Our good friend Byron Glover Jr of the Drive 615 YouTube Channel managed to get his hands on another mid-engine Corvette to review and this time it’s a 2021 Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe in the new popular color of Red Mist Metallic. This Stingray features a 2LT trim package and some nice options which brings the MSRP to a little over $81K.

Like all his automotive reviews, Byron offers us a great walk-around of the car and shows off some of the features before jumping behind the wheel for a drive where the review continues. We always appreciate Byron’s take on the car as he puts it through its paces. With this video coming after his 2020 Convertible review, he also highlights the differences between the Coupe to the Convertible C8 he tested previously. And what other auto reviewer who is 6’5″ would try to fit in the Frunk!
