If you thought you missed out on owning the first year 2020 Corvette Stingray, here is one that will be given away in just a couple months from now during a live drawing at Florida’s Don Mealey Chevrolet. The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Central Florida (a 501(c)(3) organization) is holding a fundraiser with the grand prize being a 2020 Corvette Z51 Coupe in the now-retired Long Beach Red metallic tintcoat. CorvetteBlogger readers will receive 25% Bonus Entries on ticket packages which start at $25.
The 2020 Corvette Coupe comes standard with the mid-engined 495 hp LT2 V8 which you control through the use of the 8-speed dual-clutch paddle-shift transmission. But that’s about the only thing standard on this Long Beach Red Corvette Stingray Z51 Coupe. Only 829 Coupes were featured in the color which is further enhanced by the Jet Black interior with adrenaline red leather stitching.
This Stingray is loaded with all the must-have options starting with the Z51 Performance package which adds additional cooling for the engine, bigger brakes, a track-oriented suspension, stickier Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, and the NPP Performance Exhaust system. Further enhancing the performance is the FE4 Magnetic Selective Ride Control shocks which provide improved ride quality while the Performance Traction Management System gives drivers greater control over the car’s traction control during track events.
The Z51’s aero package adds a front splitter and rear wing spoiler to the car for a total of 400 lbs of aerodynamic downforce, and with a shorter final drive ratio, the Corvette is quicker than ever. It’s rated with a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and can cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 121 mph.
In addition to the impressive performance capabilities, additional options make this 2020 Corvette Stingray even more desirable. The new Front Lift system offers nearly three-inches of freedom to clear curbs, speedbumps, and other obstacles in your way. As the new LT2 V8 in the Coupe is the “jewel under glass”, the Engine Appearance Package dresses up the engine bay with lights and carbon fiber. Adding to its already potent curb appeal are the 19/20″ Black Trident Wheels with Edge Red Brembo brake calipers.
