The first wave of customer E-Rays have been hitting dealership floors for a few weeks now. With that, it’s no surprise that the aftermarket has already begun doing their thing as well. We’ve already seen this E-Ray on the dyno spinning up 630 ft-lbs. of torque and 573 whp.
TV providers, State Farm Insurance, and Frank Fritz of American Pickers fame; the lot of them are Champions of the bundle. You can count your author among their ranks as well. I love the idea of buying TWO vehicles together in order to get a better price on both of them, so every time I find one of my Holy Grail cars, I scour the dealership’s inventory for something that I could possibly talk a loved one into buying at the same time to score both of us a deal – even with relatively modest means, this tactic has actually panned out for me on more than one occasion.
Since we are close to the end of the month while also in the middle of a Corvette order cycle, I thought I would provide a quick Corvette production update for March 2024.
We’ve been watching C8 Corvette prices plummet over the last year and it’s all but certain that the days of buying a new Corvette Stingray and then selling it for a hefty profit are now long behind us. Instead, we are starting to see a plethora of dealers offering discounts on the new Stingrays while in the secondary market, many pre-owned cars are now selling below their original MSRP.
Prices of used C8 Corvettes continue to fall, with proof arriving just this week with this modified 2022 Stingray hardtop convertible for sale on Facebook Marketplace out of Sarasota, Florida.

It’s been a little while since we featured Brian Hobaugh and his 1965 Corvette and I am shocked to see my last video of his autocrossing exploits was back in 2018. For some background info, Brian is driving the same 1965 Coupe his dad bought back in 1983 to autocross and he’s been continuing on with the family tradition.

Our friend Brad Hansen of the Retro Cars Forever YouTube channel has been on quest to make the C4 Corvette cool again, and we appreciate all his great content over the past couple of years aimed at the 4th generation sportscar. Brad has shown how the C4s make great starter Corvettes, especially for younger automotive enthusiasts and they can be quite fun to experience.
Brad had mentioned in one of his videos that he was on the hunt for an upgrade, and I thought that a C5 was totally going to be Corvette #2 for him. Nope, Brad is moving up in the Corvette world from his LT4-powered 1996 Corvette Collectors Edition and is now driving a Le Mans Blue 2007 Corvette Coupe with a little over 12K miles on the odometer.
When MotorTrend began its search for the Most Iconic Car of the Past 75 Years, was there any doubt which model its readers would choose via an online poll?

Five people have been arrested in California after police found a dozen stolen sports cars, including two C7 Corvettes, being taken apart at an alleged chop shop.
Besides a gray Stingray and a black Z06, both in desperate need of a wash job, by the way, authorities also discovered 10 sixth-generation Camaros, including a white coupe with its rear bumper, lights, and trunk already removed, as well as a neatly stored cache of stolen parts like doors and hoods and even an engine and transmission.
