I mentioned this fantastic production statistic on this week’s CORVETTE TODAY Podcast but wanted to make sure to let everyone know about it. While it seems like production for the 2023 Corvette has been slow, with production stops due to supply chain issues, weather events, and other interruptions, the truth is that the assembly plant has been firing on all eight cylinders this model year and shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s taken Tom Ferrara more than 30 years to build his unique quartet of Corvette ZR-1s and ZR1s, and after his passing, these four high performance Corvettes will be disbanded by this weekend.
That’s because Ferrara’s estate is offering his four Corvettes at no reserve at the Bonhams Greenwich auction in Greenwich, Connecticut on June 4.
As we approach the end of another Corvette model year, we are learning about a number of options that have been discontinued, or “built out” as they like to say about those options that won’t be returning next year. We’ve already seen the exterior colors Elkhart Lake Blue and Caffeine are no longer offered on remaining 2023s, and according to an update on GM’s 2023 Corvette Order Guide, we have a 70th Anniversary accessory item that is no longer available.
We haven’t even seen the last of the C8 variants yet, and already General Motors is teasing enthusiasts on social media with renderings that look to be potential C9 Corvettes.
