It’s taken Tom Ferrara more than 30 years to build his unique quartet of Corvette ZR-1s and ZR1s, and after his passing, these four high performance Corvettes will be disbanded by this weekend.

That’s because Ferrara’s estate is offering his four Corvettes at no reserve at the Bonhams Greenwich auction in Greenwich, Connecticut on June 4.

1990 Corvette ZR-1

He started the collection in 1990 by ordering a 375-horsepower Polo Green Metallic over Saddle leather ZR-1 – the first year the C4 “King of the Hill” was offered. He’s driven this one – the 774 ZR-1 built – more than any of the others in the collection, with most of the 11,000 miles put on between 1990 and 2007. Only 500 miles have been added in the last 16 years.

1995 Corvette ZR-1

Five years later, Ferrara added the perfect bookend to his C4 collection, ordering a 1995 ZR-1 in its last model year. One of only 16 ’95 ZR-1s built that year in Dark Red Metallic, Ferrara has driven this 405-horsepower monster just 519 miles.

2013 Corvette ZR1

Up next is a 2013 ZR1 (the hyphen had been dropped by Chevy by this point), now with a whopping 638 horsepower. The last C6 ZR1 built at the Bowling Green facility on Feb. 28, 2013, this car is one of only 54 Night Race Blue Metallic ZR1s that year, with silver stripes to boot. He’s driven it just 55 miles.

2019 Corvette ZR1

Topping the collection is the ultimate ZR1, at least until the C8 version appears soon. It’s the one-year-only 2019 ZR1 ordered by Ferrara in convertible fashion in Torch Red over Dark Gray leather, a combination seen in only seven of the 2,953 ZR1s produced. Furthermore, just 512 were convertibles, with only 140 coming with a seven-speed manual like this one. This 755-horsepower behemoth, which has been driven only 150 miles, also has the distinction of being the last front-engine ZR1 convertible built.

Pre-auction estimates are that the quartet of ZR-1s and ZR1s will fetch somewhere between $325,000 to $435,000. How much would you pay?
