[VIDEO] Ferrari Killer? Corvette Z06 Takes on a Ferrari 812 Superfast at the Drag Strip

We didn’t coin the term Ferrari Killer, but that’s what went down at the Bradenton Motorsports Park.

Brooks from the DragTimes YouTube channel has already given us some great match-ups for the new 2023 Corvette Z06, with the new sports car previously going up against the Lamborghini Huracan EVO and the McLaren Artura at Bradenton Motorsports Park. He recently returned to the track to meet up with the owner of a new Silver Flare Corvette Z06 Coupe with carbon ceramic brakes and a FabSpeed exhaust. His competition for the day is a sinister looking V12 Ferrari 812 Superfast with 789-horspower.

The format for today’s competition is a best of three races. The Z06’s owner drove the first match and then handed it over to Brooks drove the Z06 for the final two races. The Ferrari definitely has the top end speed but the Z06 launches faster than the front engine V12 sports car, and that high revving 670-hp LT6 has the will power to cross over the finish line just as V12 is really starting to dig. Three great races and all feature multiple camera views, along with shots of the timing boards with time slips for verification.

The fastest time for the Corvette came on the third and final run with the Z06 hitting 10.525 seconds at 128.15 mph. The Z06’s owner ran the first race and he recorded a 10.595 seconds at 128.90 mph. The fastest of the three times for the Ferrari 812 SuperFast was 10.846 at 132.96 mph.
