Will Dealers Get a Sneak Peek This Week at the C8 Corvette Grand Sport and the New LS6 V8?

GM is holding its 2026 Global Business Conference in Las Vegas this week and into next week with GM employees joined by dealers, partners, and vendors to discuss the latest practices and trends for the automotive business. In addition to keynote speakers and workshops, there may be some interesting reveals that will take place during show.

Unfortunately, these will be private reveals and even those in attendance will have to give up their phones in order to see what Chevrolet will be offering in 2027.

Several websites including GM-Trucks.com and GMAuthority.com have been reporting that the redesigned 2027 Chevrolet Silverado will one of the new vehicles highlighted. If history serves us correctly, we believe the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport will also be making an appearance at the meeting.

Chevrolet has shown off its upcoming Corvettes at this conference previously and we expect this 2026 show to be no different considering the time frame with the 2026 model year closing rapidly. With the final orders for the model year to wrap up on March 26, the public reveal of the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport and all the other new content for the model year which includes a new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 is expected to happen in the upcoming weeks.

The level of excitement for the return of the Grand Sport for the C8 era has been growing in recent months, and each new revelation is treated like the final pieces of a puzzle coming together to complete the full picture.

We are not aware of any details yet for a public reveal, but with the NCM Bash in late April being the next big Corvette show, it sure would be fun to see the car revealed in Bowling Green just as the Corvette Team did back in 2009 with the C6 Grand Sport. If not there, then let’s hope GM doesn’t let down its core constituency like what happened with the 2025 ZR1 reveal which wasn’t livestreamed and instead was a private event for top dealers and a select group of social media “influencers.”

  1. I’m still hoping that GM does it at The BASH. They used to do these kinds of things for the community at a true Corvette event. Last year was an embarrassment when they presented what’s new for 2026 – except they left out the part of a new interior and did that separately 2 week later!
