If the 1,250 horsepower ZR1X made your eyebrows jump, brace yourself — Specialty Vehicle Engineering has now unveiled a 1,564 horsepower Corvette E-Ray running on E85. Yes, you read that right: a hybrid Corvette with four digit power that starts with a “15.”
You won’t find that kind of output on the order sheet in Bowling Green, but E Ray owners can now tap into SVE’s newest forced induction monster: the Yenko/SC Corvette E Ray package.
The upgrade begins with the E Ray’s 6.2 liter LT2 based V8, which SVE reengineers to handle more than double the factory’s combined 655 horsepower (495 from the LT2 plus 160 from the front mounted electric motor).
To survive that kind of punishment, the LT2 receives a full internal makeover:
- Forged steel crankshaft
- Forged H beam connecting rods
- Forged 2618 aluminum pistons
- ARP high strength head and main studs
Airflow and durability get a major boost as well, thanks to CNC ported high flow cylinder heads, an upgraded valvetrain, a proprietary camshaft, and a custom intercooled intake manifold.
But the real stars of the show are the twin Garrett 58mm ceramic ball bearing, water cooled turbochargers, complete with water cooled wastegates — the heart of the 1,564 hp setup.
Fuel delivery is upgraded on both the high and low pressure sides, and to handle the tidal wave of torque, SVE installs a Stage III 8/9 dual clutch transmission with billet baskets and enhanced pressure controls.
For owners who want the world to know they’re not driving a standard E Ray, SVE offers Yenko/SC graphics for the hood and sides in nine standard colors, plus optional carbon fiber, reflective white, or custom finishes.
The package also includes:
- Forged, CNC machined lightweight wheels (20×10 front, 21×13 rear)
- Multiple wheel styles and finishes
- Yenko branded brake calipers
- Exclusive Yenko/SC dual dual exhaust tips
- Optional black factory exhaust finish
- Recommended high flow exhaust system
Inside, the Yenko treatment continues with embroidered floor mats, sYc embroidered headrests, custom doorsill plates, and numbered key fobs and power badges.
As with all modern Yenko/SC creations, production is extremely limited. Only 50 units will be built, each carrying a unique serial number. SVE encourages interested buyers to contact the company directly for pricing.
A 1,564 horsepower hybrid Corvette may sound like science fiction — but SVE just made it real.

Do we have any performance specs yet, other than hp?
Torque?
0 to 60 time?
Quarter mile time?
Times at well known tracks?
So if I understand the figures, they’re going to squeeze 1400 hp out of the modified LT2? That’s 3.7 h.p. per c.i., with a warrantee? Can you say “Hand Grenade” on a racetrack? Anyone curious about price?
Yikes…..Now tell me the price….Yikes again. My local roads would never allow it’s potential to be used….to many red and blue lights.
Just a regular old E-Ray is enough. There’s no need to look for traction.
