SVE Announces Special Run of 1,000 HP YENKO/SC Twin Turbo C8 Corvettes

We’re at the point with the C8 Corvette that getting the car to 1,000 hp isn’t really that big of a deal these days. There are countless tuners who can do all sorts of engine tuning and upgrading of the C8 Stingray’s LT2 V8 Engine. But for those that want the full package of performance AND looks, there’s a new offering from Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) as they are now introducing the 1000-hp YENKO/SC C8 Corvette.

Back in the day, Don Yenko was a Corvette and Camaro racer, and his Pennsylvania dealership became known as a place where gearheads could put through special orders. More than a few ZL-1 Camaros made their way through the legendary dealer, and even today the Yenko name is still synonymous with performance.

Special Vehicle Engineering (SVE) started offering Yenko-branded Corvettes back in 2017 with a YENKO/SC Corvette Grand Sport and now the company is rolling out information about their new 1,000 hp C8 Corvette. SVE is planning just 10 of these for 2024 and then up to 50 will be built in 2025.

The engine photo in the brochure appears to be highly engineered as you would expect with the Yenko name. The engine is a blueprinted 6.2L LT2 V8 equipped with two 58mm water-cooled turbos, a forged steel crankshaft, forged rods and pistons, and also includes a custom intercooled intake manifold, ground camshaft, and custom valve covers with oil separators. To handle the new power, the transmission has an upgraded dual clutch unit.

But with a YENKO/SC Corvette, you’re also getting a unique look to the car. Most prominent is the YENKO/SC stripe on the side of the car. With the 2024s, there are multiple combinations between the factory paint offerings and 10 different stripes available for a personalized look. YENKO badges are prevalent on the side and rear of the car. There are also three different wheel designs offered in multiple finishes. The dual exhaust tips are customized into one dual outlet unit on each side. Inside the car is a SYC logo embroidered on the seat’s headrests and on the embroidered floormats.

The YENKO/SC Corvette offers the full package of looks plus performance, and it’s exhilarating driving experience is matched by the $99,995 package price which doesn’t include the donor car or any of the optional equipment available.
