There’s a lot of stereotypes of Corvette owners out there, and now thanks to the All-Wheel Drive Corvette E-Ray, you can add “winter lovers” to describe the group of owners who show no signs of slowing down with their E-Rays when the weather turns to snow.
Case in point? Check out this post from the C8 Corvette E-Ray Owners Page on Facebook. While the other Corvette pages are featuring hibernation photos as owners have put their cars into storage for the winter, this Corvette E-Ray owner is celebrating the first snowfall of the year!
“Super cool. My first snowfall with the E-Ray here in Michigan! Just super super cool ❄️😎👌🏽 THX GM THX CHEVY”
While the two photos showed the car at a gas station, Sage’s post also contained a cool video showing the E-Ray driving on a snow-covered highway while Dean Martin’s “Let It Snow” serves as the soundtrack. I can’t post the video, but here’s a screenshot so you can get the vibe:
The other members of the E-Ray Owners group also showed their respect for the winter drive. Check out these comments:
All season sports car, drive it! Thanks for posting and you are a driver that enjoys the heck out of your car. Congratulations, weather looks awesome.
You have just horrified so many garage queen owners, who are all taking pictures of your car to avoid mistakenly buying it in the future because the snowflake touched it… 😃 You’re demonstrating one of the reasons why eRay is the best vette all around!
Eray is just a different beast!
Here at CorvetteBlogger, we love seeing E-Ray owners getting the full use out of the most unique Corvette in the model line-up. Thanks again to Sage for sharing this fun experience and putting a different twist on what others would call an absolutely horrible drive home.
I didn’t realize this at the time when I first started putting this story together, but Sage works for our friends at Les Stanford Chevrolet. They still have three remaining 2025 Corvette E-Rays that now have a $4,000 loyalty rebate as long as you currently own a 2011+ Corvette or Camaro. Contact Sage today at 800-836-0972!

It’s not the snow touching these Vettes, it’s the road salt or calcium chloride they put down along with sand and gravel that will render these cars a bit chipped, corroded and haggard.
Not sure driving my HTC Z51 Corvette on snow covered roads would be as much fun as driving on clear, clean, smooth dry roads,4 wd or not. Drove my 80 Corvette thru the winter in 1980 and cleared many snowy roads with the front spoiler.
😂Sure, might as well put on some knobby tires, jack it up for ground clearance, and a snorkel. Nice Jeep Wrangler costs much less.
RC missing the point entirely. If GM would offer a rally package for the ER, that would all be stock (minus the snorkel). Porsche and Lamborghini already beat them to the punch.
A slow, creaky rock-crawler is not even remotely the same thing. Next thing you’ll do is tell us the Corvette is a “hot hatch”.
The E-Rays’ front splitter, with the lift not used, can allow the owner to earn a few bucks plowing driveways. Of course this is intended as humor but there is no denying the E-Ray is a very different, and lovely, Vette.
Back in 69 I had a 63 and drove it in rain snow sleet or hail.only car I had than.
