[VIDEO] Enjoy this Corvette E-Ray Doing Launches in the Snow

After years of hearing about Corvette owners having to put away their rides for the winter, it’s been fun to watch E-Ray owners as they throw caution to the wind and drive their cars in the snow. GM calls the all-wheel drive E-Ray a three-season sports car, but for the those of you who are more adventurous, or if you’re a YouTuber looking to make outdoor content in mid-January, the Corvette E-Ray could be the perfect weather-beating machine to drive year-round.

For this winter installment, we turn to Andrew at Complete Street Performance in Pennsylvania. He tells us that StreetSpeed717 was selling the forged aluminum wheels for really cheap so he bought them for $500. With the wheels in hand, he had his Chevy dealer mount the Michelin AS4 all season tires to them for his E-Ray, which was originally ordered with the ZER package that also brings the Pilot Sport 4S summer tires.

With the new wheels and tires installed, Andrew heads out to the parking lot which has a nice dusting of snow. There, here does several take-offs and quick braking to check out the AWD Corvette’s grip. Not surprisingly, the car handles itself well in both regards.

After a couple of donuts in the parking lot, the scene cuts to nighttime showing the car parked outside with an inch or so of snow covering the hood and rooftop. So yeah, he’s really driving it in some not so great conditions, but the car has no problem tackling the snow-covered road.

During the video, Andrew tried out the launch control, and we did see a couple of attempts to do the cyclone spin, in which the car is spinning in one place. Looks like Andrew nailed it a couple of times!
