This 1969 Corvette convertible isn’t perfect, but even a little faded paint and pitted chrome can’t hide the beautiful classic lines of the C3 Stingray.
The owner, who’s asking $29,700 on eBay, says the car has never ventured out of California so an interested buyer won’t have to worry about rust. The body is tight and it’s never been in an accident.
The original Daytona Yellow paint still shines and looks awesome from 15 feet, the seller says, but a video with the listing shows that even with various chips, stains, and faded paint scattered over its curvaceous body, especially on the front passenger side, this car is definitely still a head-turner going down the road.
The original numbers-matching 350/300 horsepower V8 engine – with just 49,000 miles on the odometer – is still under the hood, and it fires up instantly, doesn’t smoke or leak, and runs “perfectly,” the owner says.
Recent maintenance ensures this Stingray is ready to drive and enjoy, with a new fuel tank and radiator and fresh brakes and rebuilt carburetor.
The gearbox, clutch, and suspension remain nice and tight, the owner says, and the power brakes make stopping easier. You’ll also find “excellent” chrome Rally wheels and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
Inside, the black vinyl interior is remarkably intact, with only a small hole worn in the driver’s carpet and two small splits in the driver’s seat on the seam. The dash has no cracks, and the door panels are excellent.
The original black vinyl covered hardtop is the only choice when it comes to protection from the elements, and once in place, adds a nice contrast to the yellow paint. The canvas top is missing, however.
Now, this eye-catching vintage roadster is ready for its next chapter. Whether it becomes your weekend cruiser or the centerpiece of your collection, it promises to draw admiring looks everywhere it goes.

As a C3 owner I would not make the statement that “you won’t have to worry about rust”. All C3 are prone to rust just from getting any water around that windshield frame. So even washing the car for 40 years can bring in lots of rust around that windshield frame and A pillars.
Getting a “Survivor” trophy is nice but I would rather drive a car that is restored.
