[VIDEO] Corvette E-Ray Takes on the Lamborghini Revuelto Owned By DragTimes

Brooks from the DragTimes YouTube Channel has a surprise race for us today featuring his Lamborghini Revuelto going up against a Corvette E-Ray. In this case, the E-Ray is definitely punching above its weight class by taking on Lamborghini’s Performance Hybrid V12 sports car that has an additional 360 hp on tap.

Brooks opens the video with a quick garage tour and which cars are staying and which may have to go and that list includes the Revuelto as he has the new Lamborghini Temerario on order as its replacement. He also says that Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL has his allocation for his ZR1 which means that he should have the car in just a couple of months if all goes well. He did get bit by constraints as the ZTK Performance Package isn’t available due to the lack of the J59 10-piston Alcon brakes. But he is okay with that as he can still order the aero package and he wasn’t into having the Michelin Cup 2R race tires anyway.

We’ve seen this E-Ray before as Brooks had it out to a private runway event where it raced both a Porsche Turbo S and its sibling, the C8 Z06. Brooks says the owner of the car also has a ZR1 order coming, so we’re betting this race is sort of a “last hurrah” for the owner and his E-Ray.

The specs on the Lamborghini are pretty crazy with it having a 6.5L V12 hybrid with three electric motors that combined makes 1,015 horsepower. It’s electric motors are rated at 187 hp and the battery pack is double the capacity of the E-Ray at 3.8 kWh. The E-Ray is powered by the 6.2L V8 rated at 495 hp plus the 160 hp front motor for a combined 655 horsepower. The E-Ray has just one front motor and its battery capacity is 1.9 kWh. The Revuelto has an MSRP of $683K compared to the inexplicable $170K that the Chevy owner paid for the E-Ray.

We’ve also seen this Revuelto take on Wheeler’s Corvette ZR1 at Orlando Speed World where it was beaten off the line by the ZR1 but still came back to win it with its amazing top end speed. Will the E-Ray and its AWD launching ability fare any better? Watch below and find out:

  1. Never made it to the race, got sick of this rich fucker’s BS about all his exotic cars and not knowing whether to take the ZR1 or wait for the ZRX, so he’ll just take them both, BARF. And no I’m certainly not jealous or envious of this idiot. Probably got all his money the old fashion way, he inherited it.

  2. Must be nice to be swimming in enough money to by and sell cars at whatever personal whim you’re feeling at the moment.

  3. These people are why I gave up on Stingray and got my deposits back. Dealerships don’t want to sell to someone who is going to cherish a vehicle and drive the snot out of it for 10 years. They want to sell with ADM to someone who is going to flip it in 18 months for the next corvette hotness.

This is also why I decided that even if I could afford a ZR1X (which I can)–I’m not going to buy one. I don’t feel like being relegated to a place in line behind a bunch of people I cannot stand, while GM produces them at a rate that is pathetic.

Everyone that is trading an ER for a ZR1 (not a ZR1X) is clearly someone who is only in it to be first, not for love of AWD. Annoying that their “trash spec” ER’s are what the rest of us will get to pick from–after being precluded from buying new.

  4. Brooks has never impressed me with apparent intelligence. The fact he is not wearing a helmet while doing a nine in the quarter shows he must be impaired. I don’t like the guy.
