[VIDEO] Street Speed 717’s 2025 ZR1 to Face Off Against the DragTimes’ Tesla Plaid

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen a couple of the YouTube personalities going after each other, and I for one and looking forward to seeing if this battle royale comes to fruition.

Mike from Street Speed 717 has apparently called out Brooks from DragTimes and his Tesla Plaid, and Brooks has accepted the challenge so it looks like this race is going to be happening sometime in the near future. Or will it?

In preparing for that, Mike takes his Rapid Blue 2025 Corvette ZR1 for a few more runs as he discusses his Dragy times and what we saw when Florida-based Wheeler raced his Arctic White ZR1 back in July against the Tesla Plaid. In that race, the Plaid dominated the (heat-soaked) ZR1 with a quarter mile run of 9.2 seconds at 150 mph.

After Mike does a few runs (on the streets and not on a prepped track), he shows a side-by-side comparison that his ZR1 was quicker in both the 60-130 mph while also having a trap speed of 151.70 MPH as compared to Brooks and his Tesla running a 4.74 second 60-130 mph and 150.76 MPH trap speed. The Tesla’s dragy results are on the left and Mike’s ZR1 is on the right:

While this video features the driving, it’s the comments on the YouTube video that are making this fun.

Mike asks “So with a 151MPH trap speed, do you think we can beat Brooks or no way?!?“

Brooks replies, “hold on, you can’t even get in the 9’s with a modified ZR1 and you’re calling me out? Since you’re modified I have a tuned Plaid to run you with, come on down….“

Mike answers with, “Yea, on the street😂 Also, your Plaid is modified, has lightweight wheels and different tires… Or does it not count when it’s your car💀“

Both YouTubers are also claiming it was the other guy who called them out.

Brooks offers to meet him at Bradenton Motorsports Park next weekend, but Mike says later in October to which Brooks adds, “I’m right here waiting to race any car he wants, Mikes the one who’s too busy after calling me out… or he’s just waiting for better weather 😂😂😂 it’s all good, I have 2 more friends bringing their zr1’s out to the track down here soon, by the time Mike is ready to race it will be old news and irrelevant….“

So hopefully, these two will eventually meet up, but for now we are just expecting the war of words to continue.
