The average bystander would likely have a hard time identifying what’s left of this black-on-black C7 Corvette coupe after a rollover crash in western Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.
Based on a photo from the scene of the one-vehicle accident, the Corvette suffered major damage, with rescue crews from Harmony Fire District forced to remove both doors and roof panel and lean the windshield forward to extricate the two passengers trapped inside the vehicle. The impact also destroyed the front body panels of the car, including the hood and fenders.
One of the passengers had to be airlifted to a hospital, while an ambulance transported another occupant of the car. The extent of their injuries was not available.
A follow up comment from a relative of the driver that was posted to the Harmony Fire District’s Facebook Page says it was her uncle and aunt in the vehicle and the accident was caused by a medical emergency. After thanking the first responders, we learn they will both recover.
According to Pittsburgh TV station WPXI, the accident happened around 4 p.m. in Jackson Township in the area of Petry Lane and Evans City Road (Route 68), located north of Pittsburgh.

I don’t think they can BUFF THAT OUT!!
Glad that the report is for Recovery it appears that the roll cage did it’s job…
But in a crash like that, it can be REALLY difficult to get their feet out from under the footwells
If they have a back injury (quite common in a roll over) I had a case with a rather heavy lady was belted into her Up-side-down car, hanging by the seat belt… I had to crawl in Under her and let her down onto my back then transport her to a stretcher… So THANKFUL that she was not bleeding, nor in shock so we had some time to work with her… One of the most Frustrating parts of emergency Care s that we seldom know the outcome of our work…
@Floyd Burdett:
Thank you for doing what you do. It takes some very special people to do your job.
